Welcome to Surf Express, the fastest way to browse your regularly visited Web pages!
Surf Express uses the most intelligent Web caching technology available to identify the Web pages you visit repeatedly and store them on your hard drive. Then while you browse other pages, Surf Express will regularly check stored pages for updates. The result: your favorite pages will load an average of 4 times faster than if they were downloaded with a 28.8 Kbps modem (with a maximum possible speed up as high as 36 times faster).* And because Surf Express automatically refreshes your favorite pages, you get up-to-date versions of the pages you visit most.
This installer installs a full copy of Surf Express v1.1.3 that functions for 7 days. After 7 days, Surf Express will no longer work; use the Surf Express Installer application to remove Surf Express.
Please note that technical support is not available for this demo version. Registered owners of Surf Express receive unlimited free technical support via phone, fax, and e-mail.

There a few minor issues that the user may encounter using Surf Express
in the following scenarios:
* Surf Express does not currently work with the built-in America Online web browser. It will, however, work with Internet Explorer or Netscape when AOL is used as an ISP. (i.e. Launch AOL and logon, then open IE or Netscape to browse the web.)
* Surf Express‚Ñ¢ is not compatible with 68k based Macintoshes (machines with 68000, 68020, 68030, and 68040 processors). Any additional information about 68k support will be posted on the Connectix web site (www.connectix.com).
* Surf Express‚Ñ¢ is currently incompatible with Spyglass Corporation's Surfwatch (http://www.surfwatch.com/). Connectix and Spyglass Software are investigating a fix.
* Surf Express‚Ñ¢ does not automatically launch with version 4.0.3 of the Microsoft Internet Library, which is installed with the 128 bit encryption upgrade for Microsoft Internet Explorer 4. While Connectix and Microsoft investigate a fix, there are two possible workarounds:
1. Before launching your browser, launch the Surf Express‚Ñ¢ Proxy (inside the Data folder of the Connectix Surf Express‚Ñ¢ folder) by double-clicking it.
-or-
2. Replace the version of the Microsoft Internet Library with a different version. Surf Express‚Ñ¢ properly launches if version 4.0.2, which ships with Microsoft Internet Explorer, or version 4.0.4, which ships with Microsoft Office 98 is installed. The Microsoft Internet Library is located in the MS Library Folder inside the Extensions folder.
* The "Default Browser" that you are prompted to choose during installation of Surf Express is the browser that the Surf Express‚Ñ¢ application will use to view web pages from the cache using the FindCache feature. During installation, every supported browser that is on your machine will be configured to use Surf Express‚Ñ¢.
